“Statements of Intent” is Kamira’s debut album, covering a broad musical waterfront, from the pop-rocktastic ear candy of “Everything About You” to the blackened melodic death heaviness of “Make Your Choice” to the bratty punk funk of “Say It to My Face.” Kamira was born when Cam & Lachlan came up with song ideas which they felt could be enhanced by some of Cam’s bandmates in his Huntington Beach School of Rock performance group: Kira (vocals, 17) and Niko (guitar, 18). For bass duties, Lachlan recruited Evan (21), his bandmate in the Connecticut-based pop-punksters 3PM Noize Complaint, to lend his skills remotely.

After just 3 weeks of writing, recording, mixing & mastering, “Statements of Intent” was complete. The band received such positive reviews from those who heard the recordings, they decided to release them officially. Naming the band involved fusing Kira and Cam’s names into Kamira, given her front-woman status and his role as the primary riff writer. Kamira are looking forward to playing their “Statements of Intent” live for SoCal audiences in Fall ’23.
